Goal

Launch AI prompting feature in role creation flow to guide users with smart suggestions and boost engagement.

Challenge 01 - Content Creation Behavior Insights

Low post-creation rate

Despite healthy user growth, post creation remained low—especially after onboarding. Interviews with creators revealed that while motivation existed, they lacked support to create consistently.

Quantitative Insight

Time Series Trend Analysis : Post creation was continuously tracked via Amplitude as a time-series trend. While funnels and retention metrics gave us insight into drop-off and engagement, the month-over-month behavior chart helped highlight a broader systemic decline in content activity

Weekly Retention of New Creators (Cohort Analysis): This cohort retention chart tracks the percentage of users who returned to create content in the weeks following their signup. Each line represents a monthly cohort from May to October.

Qualitative Insight

To support the quantitative data, we interviewed a diverse group of creators, randomly selected community members who had been active on the platform for at least three months, to uncover friction points in their content creation experience.

“Sometimes I just stare at the screen. I know I should post something, but I’m out of ideas.”

“As a creator, I need to post regularly, but some days I just don’t know what to talk about.”

“When I run out of content, I lose visibility—and that means fewer views and engagement.”

“The platform feels quiet unless I push something out, but I wish I had help sparking ideas.”

Challenge 02 - Affinity Mapping Pattern Reveal

Clunky, Traditional Creation Flow

The original creation tool felt static and form-like—blocking creativity.

Qualitative feedback from in-app prompts and interviews revealed that creators felt unsupported and uninspired.

Qualitative Insight

Sourced from in-app feedback, creator interviews, and community support logs, analyzed using Affinity Mapping to identify recurring friction patterns in the post-creation experience.

“I usually have something to say, but the screen feels like I’m filling out a form—not like I’m talking to a community.”

Community Creator, 34

“There’s no spark. I come in wanting to post, but then I just stare at the empty box and don’t know where to start.”

Lifestyle Host, 41

“It works, but it’s too plain. If I’m not already prepared with content, I’ll skip posting that day.”

Interest-Based AI Suggestions

AI recommends content based on the user’s interests and categories. If she owns or joins communities, suggestions are further personalized to match those community topics and discussions.

Smart, Editable AI Blocks

AI-generated ideas appear as modular blocks. Users can easily select, edit, or publish them directly—combining quick inspiration with full creative control.

Inline AI Micro-Editing

Once a block is selected, users can fine-tune it with inline AI tools—such as expanding, shortening, or rewriting the content—without leaving the flow.

AI-Powered Similarity Reminder

Before publishing, AI checks for similar posts across the platform and her communities. If duplicates or related questions exist, it surfaces them as previews—helping reduce noise and encouraging unique contributions.
